Description

Jumana and Me – a novel for young adults by Palestinian journalist and writer Mahmud Shukir.

In this imaginative story a young teen boy, Jawad, his sister Jumana and his online Algerian friend Mustafa.

Mustafa and Jawad dream of a solution to the Palestinian problem – to hypnotize Israelis and move them to Uganda – a peaceful solution.

Then Jawad is concerned about caring for the Israeli’s needs, and that one’s solution becomes another’s burden.

 With a fictional solution, the writer presents a new version of old questions about resolving conflict.
