The interpretation of dreams is one of the actions that have obsessed men in history. Sigmund Freud is considered the most influential person in this regard during the twentieth century.
However, Muslims have a specific guide to interpret their dreams. This is the Great Book of Interpretation of Dreams Tafsir al-Ahlam, written by the scholar Ibn Sirin in the 7th century.
The great prophet Humammad said that “the dream is the forty-sixth part of the Divine Revelation” and that “the prophecy belongs to the past the one and only to the bearers of good news.
In this way, dreams are sacred because they are revelations of God. A part of faithfuls’ daily life, a kind of symbolic bridge where truths and messages are revealed.
Tafsir al-Ahlam helps to give a sacred value to the dreams and to interpret them correctly so that they are a learning method for each of the believers in the Quran.
