“Salafi in the Balance of Know-How”. The islamic thinker and author Uthman Salihiyah discusses Salafism from a “know-how” perspective. The author calls for a clear methodology in dealing with Salafist thought. That is using ‘know-how’ as a model to get rid of the impurities collected through the ages. The model stresses the use of knowledge alone, not blind acceptance of the narrator or personal considerations. This requires a bold examination and close scrutiny of issues that were misinterpreted but accepted through the ages.
