How Islam is the Fastest Growing Religion

Studies in the 21st century put forward that Islam is the fastest-growing religion in terms of worldwide spread. According to researchers, Muslims will grow more than twice as fast as the whole global population. In the coming decades, the World’s population is projected to grow 32% by 2060. The number of Muslims is expected to increase by 70%, from 1.8 billion to 3 billion. Despite of the terrorism issues, Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the World.

1. The relatively Young Muslim population:

Among all the religions of the World, Islam comprises the most number of young people. The average range of their median age is 24. 

The median age of Christian is 30. The median age of Hindus is 27. This religious class’s total population and fertility rates are lower than Muslims. 

All other major religious groups have more than 30 years of median age. More young Muslims will replace older non-Muslims across the globe.

2. High Fertility rates:

Muslims have more children than followers of any other region. The main reason behind the growth of Islam is the high fertility rates of Muslim ladies. 

Muslim women give birth to more children. On average, a Muslim woman gives birth to three children. At the same time, a non-Muslim has 2.2 children. 

After Muslims, Christians have the next highest prolificacy rate of 2.6. This is the primary reason for the fast growth of the Muslim population globally.

This fact is also true that people do change their faith. Religious switching also occurs in many countries. In the case of Muslims, the above story of changing religion is not valid. The number of Muslims increases obviously because the death rate is less than the birth rate in any given year.

Americans have more warm views about these seven religious groups. But towards Muslims, the Americans’ views are now more generous than they have been in the past.

Europe is also included in those regions where Islam is the fastest-growing religion. According to research studies, the Muslim population in Europe (excluding Turkey) exceeded Thirty million to Forty-Four million from 1990 to 2010. Muslims population increased from 4.1% to 6%.

Islam is the 2nd largest religion in the UK after Christianity. There are basically four main reasons for the growth of Islam in the United Kingdom.

Islam provides this comfort on matters such as God, purpose, meaning and life after death. Islam is also acting as a uni-directional for people. 

It instructs people on what they are. For Westerners, it can also be anticipated to be attractive. Many people can create their own realities in relativistic religions. 

Islam offers a religion that has its roots grounded in a set of beliefs and a miraculous book. These aspects prove that Islam is a perfect religion for all humanity.

5. The rise of Islam is due to its openness to new members:

One of the causes for the growth of the Muslim community has been its acceptance of new members. 

On the other hand, a non-Muslim can convert to Islam by announcing themself to be a Muslim. 

A non-Muslim who is eager to accept Islam does not require any confirmation from religious authorities. Declaration of faith is enough proof of conversion to Islam. Due to this ease, people readily accept Islam.
